Watching US Unemployment, Home sales and the JPY

Tomorrow 3 very important macroeconomic statements will be published on the JPY – Monetary Policy Statement, Overnight Call Rate and BOJ press conference however the most important statement for this week is expected on the 27th- Advance GDP in the US. There was little volatility in London session but the market picked up after the US news releases…Reminder:  Our minimum investment is 10K.

Q & A Forex Trading Market 4.5 Trillion Daily Transactions

Q & A Forex Trading Market
4.5 Trillion Daily Transactions

How is money made in this market?
Profit is made with the movements of the currencies. If a currency is in a bad shape we sell it for profit, if we think it will get stronger we buy it. We can use leverage up to 1:50 to multiply our profit/loss.

How does that volume compare to the  equities market?
Average daily international foreign exchange trading volume is about $4.5 trillion. It is by far the largest and most liquid market in the World.

Why are people generally not as familiar as with major Stock Exchanges i.e, NYSE, NASDAQ, London, Tokyo, Shanghai?
Maybe it is because it is a relatively new market although it has been around since the 1980s. It has become available to private investors with the Internet explosion about 10 years ago.

All of the sudden, everyone could open accounts and start trading. It is still considered an alternative investment and as such, pretty risky as well. It can be risky if you do not follow certain rules.

If you know what you are doing there is the same amount of risk involved as with stock trading but the potential rewards are much higher.

What is the Forex Market and Forex Trading?

What is the Forex Market  and Forex Trading?

The foreign exchange market or currency market or Forex is the market where one currency is traded for another. It is one of the largest markets in the world.

Some of the participants in this market are simply seeking to exchange a foreign currency for their own, like multinational corporations which must pay wages and other expenses in different nations than they sell products in.

However, a large part of the market is made up of currency traders, who speculate on movements in exchange rates, much like others would speculate on movements of stock prices. Currency traders try to take advantage of even small fluctuations in exchange rates.

In the foreign exchange market there is little or no ‘inside information’. Exchange rate fluctuations are usually caused by actual monetary flows as well as anticipations on global macroeconomic conditions. Significant news is released publicly so, at least in theory, everyone in the world receives the same news at the same time.

Reminder:  Our minimum investment is 10K.

Changes in Technology for
the Remote Virtual Office

Virtual -Remote Office services have expanded with the changes of technology  resulting in various programs for different small business requirements and budgets.

The local Business Suite or Business Centers in current times  were the first form of Virtual Remote Offices.   Small businesses or regional corporate sales  offices could  have presence in a city without the  large expenses of starting  separate remote  business operations at different locations including international.

Many  Virtual Offices and Suite services offer  prestigious business street  address instead of a P.O. Box address.  Services are   available on a lease which  may  include   business phone number,  receptionists in common greeting  areas,  answering services,  meeting rooms, faxes and computers with email services and WI-FI,  mail forwarding and private work space as needed.

The  communication services offer  professional  phone answering and perhaps  an 800 number that may be  forwarded seamlessly to  a home office, mobile phone  or  to multiple locations.

There are many types of Virtual Offices  and though   some Business  Suite still focus on Street  address/mail forwarding services   there are organizations capitalizing    on the Virtual Office communications with  rich features for  remote call solutions including virtual call centers.

Small businesses may setup their own virtual calls system  or contract out virtual call centers for telemarketing, sales and support, web guides or phone/chat support.

Virtual Office communication services may offer  multple extension phone numbers permitting home working employees to  program their incoming calls for specific phones, days and times or multiple locations.

Some  offer voice messaging  that  can be forwarded by audio  emails  or by text translations right to your smartphone or computer. And Management can broadcast by email or voice messages.

Some services  offer marketing and sales tools with call tracking for analysis.

Goodbye 60 Minutes Icon, Mike Wallace

‘There is one thing that Mike can do better than anybody else: With an angelic smile, he can ask a question that would get anyone else smashed in the face.

—Colleague Harry Reasoner

He was  hired at  the birth of  60 minutes in 1968  with his last  report in  2008 and he  delivered  over sixty years of great journalism often through skillful interrogation.

Known for his well researched, and brutally direct  often confrontational interview he somehow  orchestrated with humor,  finesse  and  amazing results.

We will miss that smile.

Amazon for NASA – Game Changing

Charles Bolden, NASA Administrator  gave his thanks ”  to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezo and his  private expedition team  on the discovery of the  Apollo  engines in the Atlantic. Bolden also gave his “good luck’ on their efforts to raise the Apollo 11  F-1 engines which where dropped  into the ocean 42 years ago as part of the historical  “first man on the moon” mission.

Much can be done  in the private sector where the government does not have the  funding or capacity to accomplish things such as this.

Anytime government has to fund and put energy in a project something else is not getting funding or receiving attention needed. And there is way too much placed on government to solve that can and should be placed back to the private sector to solve.

Business private sector is  better with finances than government. It is more efficient and cannot survive waste or overspending. Businesses and their  management must answer daily, weekly, quarterly for decisions made  instead of governments  every 2-4 years.

Sometimes rapid movement is needed to solve problems.

Federal and local governments are  struggling   in this economy and perhaps it is a ripe  environment for the private sector  to take over  areas once left to government.

Arguments aside (and there are many)  this is a good opportunity for non government America to do what they do best  which is  create solutions once left to government.

It’s  in the American DNA to create and re-invent.  We started with the Revolutionary War by changing  battle tactics and the  altered  gun   and continued up to the development of the TCP/IP  codes; the birth of the  Internet

Let’s see what we can do.

We are the  Game Changers.
